Friday's Dose of Delight {No.4}

And so we meet again….it feels like just yesterday I was gearing up for the Memorial Day weekend.  Not that I’m complaining because by now you should know how much I love me some Fridays! Today I’m sharing another mini roundup of Friday’s Dose of Delight.  If you’re new to my bloggie-blog this is where I feature 2 items that I came across this week that inspire me with their awesomeness.  I’m pretty sure today’s features will delight you too!

Spud Bar from The Inspired Bride

By now I’m pretty sure most of us are burnt out on kid’s dessert bars. Been there, done that. But here’s an idea you don’t see too often….a spud bar! It’s baked potatoes in all their glory. This shoot was set up for a bachelor party {obviously something the fiancée would put together because I’m pretty sure potato decor is a far cry from what’s on the mind of men when planning their buddy’s bachelor party. Correct me if I’m wrong}. This idea would be suitable for all adult events; birthdays, anniversaries, and even retirement parties.  See full post here.

Frog Bites from The Seven Year Cottage

Some things are cute and then some things are REEEALLY cute.  These Frog Bites fall under the REEALLY cute category.  Just look at ‘em.  Need I say more? Well, yes, a matter of fact I will.  Initially, looking at this little guy you would think making them would be quite complex but after skimming through the recipe it really doesn’t look hard at all.  Of course, this is coming from a girl who hasn’t cooked in 6 months.  View full recipe here.

What inspired you this week? Please share!

Friday's Dose of Delight {No.3}

Who doesn’t love Fridays? Hands down the 2nd best day of the week - next to Saturdays that is {only because I get to sleep in!} I am even more excited about the long holiday weekend {that’s 3 days of sleeping in for me!} Do you catch a theme here?  Yes, I like my sleep.  But enough about me; let’s get on to the fun stuff like this week’s Friday Dose of Delight! Here’s what I’m crushing on this week:

Banquette from Dixie Delights

Hello! Is this not the greatest looking lounge space ever? I can’t even tell you which part is my favorite considering I L.O.V.E. everything about it.  I am gaga over the mix of patterns, the color combo, and don’t even get me started on those stylish rosette pillows! Mrs. Amanda you are one lucky gal!

Allyson Hill on Etsy

I discovered this mod shop a few months ago and recently fell head over heels in love with it again while browsing my faves on Etsy.  This shop features a delightful array of car litter bags and other fun, modern auto accessories.  I bet you never thought a trash bag could be so darn good looking did ya? If my husband bought me one of these I guarantee I would be more inclined to keep my car clean.
You can check out all of Alyson Hill’s
handmade goodies here.

Hope everyone has a safe and Happy Memorial Day weekend!

Friday's Dose of Delight {No.2}

I can’t wait for the weekend. I think those of us in the Midwest are finally safe enough to plant our flowers! Of course, I say that and then I’ll wake up Saturday morning to another bleak 40-degree day just like last weekend.  I hope that isn’t the case because I’m eager to add some color to our landscape! Regardless of the weather, I am still excited to present this week’s “Friday's Dose of Delight.” This is where I highlight two of my favorite things I discovered this week.  My small roundup typically includes anything that caught my eye; craft projects, new Etsy shops, recipes and anything else that’s sure to delight! Hopefully, these ideas will inspire you too.

My great-grandfather passed away when I was about 6 years old. My only memories of him were of how he used to always buy my brother and I orange creamsicle push-ups from the ice cream truck every time we visited.  So when I came across these cupcakes not only did I want to lick the screen it also brought back some fond childhood memories!
Yummy recipe can be found here.

I love interior design and I am always on the lookout for home décor ideas. This blog is definitely full of inspiration! The best part is you can browse by color, room, or style. Some of the homes featured are quite luxurious but beautiful nonetheless! You can check out the blog here.

Have a terrific weekend!

Friday's Dose of Delight {No.1}

No, I didn't have one, two, many drinks last night. I am well aware it is Saturday and not Friday. I'm delighted about that! For those of you who aren't fellow bloggers, Google's Blogger was down on Thursday and Friday. Hence why this Friday feature is coming out over the weekend. In addition, I've also decided to change "Friday's Delightful Dozen" into "Friday's Dose of Delight." I know, I know, I am giving up after only doing the "Delightful Dozen" for 2 Fridays. What a wimp! Trust me, I have a whole folder of fun ideas, recipes, and blogs that I'd like to share but my goal here is to make life a little easier on me. If that is even possible! I decided that highlighting two of my faves was much less time consuming then editing and posting a dozen. So without further adieu, I introduce to you two things I've come across this week that are sure to inspire or brighten your day! Hope y'all have a wonderful weekend {I've always wanted to talk like a Texan}!

Front Door Entry from
In Between Laundry

Ever since I laid eyes on Erin's entry makeover I have been wandering around my house searching for the perfect wall space in which I can pull off her framed wall stenciling. Two problems with that: 1) walking and thinking at the same time may cause you to walk into walls and 2) I may have been blessed with a few creative talents but stenciling is not one of them.  It’s not a pretty picture when stencils and I get together. So in the mean time, I will just continue to admire Erin’s work.  Seriously, from the paint color, to the rug, I love everything about this makeover! Read more about it here.

Twisted Cheese Straws from
Under the Table and Dreaming

Although I haven’t been there in years, I love those cheddar biscuits you can get from Red Lobster.  When Stephanie posted this cheese straw recipe I instantly added it to my cooking to-do list.  Kind of funny, considering The Negotiator does all the cooking.  So eventually I will move this onto his to-do list. I imagine these cheese straws would taste delicious along side a big bowl of pasta! You can find the recipe here.

I love finding new ideas! Do you have anything delightful you came across this week? New shops? Bargains? Crafts? Please share!
