Spring Time's a Comin'!!!

Yesterday after the girls got home from school, Jacob and I decided to join the living and get outside for a bit. We were both feeling a little better.... he actually went back to school for the first time that day and by the afternoon I was feeling like breaking free from my room/bed/cage/dungeon that I'd been relegated to for the past few days.

It was beautiful.... warm.... Spring-like.... and all the kids were excited to be done with school for the week. My neighbor, Elizabeth, found something fun for the kids to do -- something they ALL love.... washing her car. And luckily, Elizabeth isn't too particular about the details.... she even let them all climb all over the car including the roof. They were loving it.... and at one point even jumping up and down on it! I was wincing but Elizabeth was pretty cool about it, well, until Wheeler slipped on the soap suds, down the windshield and soon to the ground. He was OK, but that sort of ended the top of the car trick.

Kate took this picture of us after all the car washing.... and hence the reason Jacob has no shirt on... oh, who am I kidding??? Jacob NEVER has a shirt on!

Kate, Madison, Macy, Mitchell and Wheeler before the car washing began

Mitchell, Macy (mad because someone had just stepped on her hand),
Wheeler, Jackson, Kate & Madison

And the games begin.... Sutton and Madison were doing their best
to cream each other with the wet rags

Macy & Wheeler decided to play that same game....

And then the spraying began.... even I was ducking when Wheeler got a hold of the hose....

Jacob was in the act, too, washing like the big kids

And what do you know.... no shirt..... AGAIN!! Boy, are you ever gonna wear clothes???

And here's a shot Kate took for us.... Thanks Kate. You did a great job!

Thanks Elizabeth for letting the kids go wild on your car and your driveway.
It felt great to get out for a little while.
