Father's Day Mustache themed!

I don't know what it is about this mustache trend, but I think it is so cute!  Now, Mr. Hubby, don't get any ideas, I'm not trendy enough to actually enjoy on anyone's face (except Tom Selleck), I just like the graphic!!  Did you see this "Little Man" Baby Shower that Emily at Remarkable Home did?
Love it!!  And I think it would totally be a super cute Father's Day theme for decor, party or cards!  I mean look at all her cute ideas:

Wouldn't a picture of dear old Dad look cute with a mustache and top hat to embellish him?!

So, inspired by this Tiny Prints card:

We made this little 5x7 printable:

You could even combine two of my favorite pins on pinterest:

{Customer Feature} FIretruck Party!

Well, HELLO out there! Did you think I was ever going to post again? I took a little hiatus from blogging while I was on a family vacation to the beach. I had big plans to get up early and blog before the kids came running in searching high and low for breakfast doughnuts (that's a ritual when we're at the beach), but I think the BIG GUY upstairs had other plans for me.

I didn't know how hard it could be getting an internet connection while traveling.... well, maybe "hard" isn't the right word.... how about impossible!! My vacation quickly turned into a daily fiasco of phone calls to internet providers, phone calls to the owners of the condo, going from one room to the next trying to find the single, tiny signal that might actually connect me for 5 whole minutes before it, too, disappeared. And then there was the hotel lobby.... 3 buildings away.... the car rides to local cafes and all the rest just trying to get files to customers. It was a little nightmarish and I think my husband was ready to chunk my computer into that deep, blue ocean. So blogging definitely had to go for a while, but I'm happy to say that I'm home safe and sound and thankfully connected once again to the blogosphere!

Today I wanted to share a cute firetruck party one of my customer's put together for her son, Cole, using the Shindig Parties TO GO Firetruck party printables. Amanda did a fabulous job decorating the house and the dessert table, too. Just take a look:

I love how Amanda used streamers as a backdrop -
a simple and inexpensive way to add flair and color to any party.

For her cupcake stand, Amanda covered rectangular boxes with wrapping paper and added a little ribbon, too. Then she used the polka dot cupcake wraps and cute personalized cupcake toppers as a focal point of the dessert table.

Amanda used the different papers that come with the Firetruck party printables collection to wrap candy jars and add pops of color to the table.

Don't you love the old firetruck that Amanda used as a prop on Cole's dessert table?

And the Dalmation adds a cute touch, too.

Adorable fire hydrant cup favors with personalized tags are the perfect take home treat for the kids.

Cole is one lucky boy - mom even got Elmo to come by to say "Happy Birthday!" Thanks so much, Amanda, for sharing Cole's party with us!

Retro Father's Day Printables

I’m pretty convinced that the black hole in my dryer that chooses to eat our socks is the same hole that consumes “time”. Seriously, can you believe it is going on June already? That being said, it’s time to start thinking about Father’s Day and what to get good ol’ POPS! I’d thought it would be fun to design a printable to share. All you need to do is add some of these retro inspired soda labels to a few vintage pop bottles and you’ve got one groovy gift for daddy-o! {Okay seriously, how did people in the 50’s and 60’s take each other seriously talking like this?}

Download labels here. You can print them on plain or self-adhesive paper.  There are 4 labels on each sheet and the labels are 3.5 x 5 inches in size, which should cover most average 12 ounce soda bottles.

Cut your labels and adhere to the glass bottle {You can remove the retail label with Goo Gone or do what I did and just place the retro labels right over them}. If you used regular paper instead of the self-adhesive paper you can adhere the label with double-sided tape.

Toss the soda bottles in a gift basket and make this present a little suh-weeter by adding some of Pops favorite retro candy treats.  You can continue to play on the dad theme by throwing in some Pop Rocks, Sugar Daddies, and Tootsie Pop suckers! Dad doesn’t have a sweet tooth? No problem, tie a gift card from his favorite hardware store or coffee shop onto the neck of the soda bottle.

Here are some of my favorite spots to pick up vintage soda:

World Market
Target
Whole Foods

I'd love to hear if you use these for your Pops or hubby!

Tipsy Tuesday....Cupcake Stands!!

Today's Tipsy Tuesday is all about cupcake stands. :) Who doesn't love a good dessert stand, especially when its affordable right?!

I first made these for Bailey's Fancy Nancy birthday party. I loved the way they turned out. They made a great little throne for her birthday cupcakes to sit upon. :) I have received a few emails asking where I got them. And so, the secret is out...I made them. :)

And today I'm going to show y'all just how EASY (and cheap) they are to make. But the stands I'm creating today are a little twist on the first ones I made. Today I'm making pirate themed cupcake stands...

Ingredients include glue (hot glue or tacky glue), mini candle sticks, paint, and wooden decorative shapes.

These wooden decorations came from Hobby Lobby. You can find them at any craft store and there is usually a pretty good assortment. They were 67 cents a piece...the most expensive part of this project. I got these along with a few summer themed ones for some cupcakes I'm planning on making in a couple of weeks. :)

And here are the mini candle sticks, again found at Hobby Lobby in the unfinished wood section. I have also seen them at Michaels. They were $2.99 for a pack of 6. Not bad! (especially considering I bought mine with a 40% off coupon) :)

First step, paint your candle stick. Let it dry and then apply glue to the top of the candle stick. I chose hot glue for this project b/c it dries faster!

Flip it over and stick it to the bottom of the wooden decoration making sure the candle stick is in the middle.

Turn the candle stick over and you're DONE! That was easy right?!?!
And now you have cute little pirate themed cupcake stands!!!

The cost of each stand is about $1.16 each, less if you use a coupon for the candle sticks like I did.

Top off your cupcake stand with some cupcakes and VOILA, you have a cute little pirate themed dessert arrangement!!!

Aren't these cupcake toppers adorable?!!? Created by the ever so talented Amanda Parker of Shindig Parties To Go. Her printables are such a quick and easy way to dress up any party! Definitely check out her Etsy shop.

Cute right?

You like 'em????

Make 'em!

You know how now!!!! :)

Father's Day Printables and Mantle

I'm so glad when Daddy comes home...amen to that!! I know by the end of the day he can't come home soon enough and take over with the kids and...I could go on and on right!! We love our daddies and we wanted to make a fun printable to celebrate them. One of our favorite songs our kids like to sing is "I'm So Glad When Daddy Comes Home" and so we went with that and made a fun printable for you all to download.

We also like to decorate our lonely mantles (which never are lonely because we are ALWAYS celebrating some Holiday at our house!!) for Father's Day and made a father's day frame with some old ties for our printable. Then strung up some of our little guys ties and a club and ball and there you have it--Father's Day Mantle and printable. We have also included two of our other favorite printables for Father's Day that we have found out there in blogland...hope you enjoy and hope you take a moment to appreciate those daddies and all they do!!
Oh and if you do something fun in your house to show your dad that he is the man we would love to see it!!

to download this please right click on the image and then click on save image as
this will then save the image to your computer which you then be able to download and send to your favorite store to be printed
sized for 8x10 or 16x20

As always, this printable is free, we just ask that you let us know if you like them and maybe become a follower of the blog?  Please?  Pretty Please?  Thanks, friends!

Here's a couple more Father's Day printables that we love, that are free!  The link to the other blogs is below image.  The first is from Proffitable Life and the second is from Midwestern Sewing Girl.  Both come in a variety of colors!
