Thank a Soldier Project & Free Printable Download

I was flipping through a magazine the other day while waiting in line at our local Michael’s store when I came across this great story about a 10-year-old boy named Stephen. This young man is on a mission to send a handmade card to every troop member overseas. That’s a whopping 180,000 thank you cards he’s trying to collect! I have a cousin who is currently serving in Iraq. I have wanted to do something to thank him and the other brave men and women for serving our country for quite some time now. Stephen’s Thank You Card Project couldn’t have been more perfect for a paper gal like me! It’s as simple as sending 5 cards and as if that wasn’t easy enough I’m sharing with you a free printable thank you card! All you have do is download the card here, print on plain white cardstock, cut with some scissors, and sign your name {you don’t expect Stephen to sign all 180,00 cards do you?}

The card is a standard flat A2  {4.25x5.5} and they are asking that you please include envelopes. Cards must be received by July 1, 2011. Once your ready to send, mail the cards to the following address:

Stephen’s Thank You Card Project/Bazzill Basics Paper
7001 W. Erie Street, Suite 2
Chandler, AZ 85226

Full details regarding Stephen and his undertaking can be found here.

This is a wonderful project to do with your kids. Don’t forget to share with friends so we can help Stephen reach his goal and most importantly thank those who have fought for our country.

I’d love to know if you participate!

Now drop down and give me 20!

In the spirit of Memorial Day I'm sharing with Step It up for the Troops
